- Goudveld Special School was official open 5th November 1994, and is situated in the North of Johannesburg, in Langlaagte Home Stead Park.
- The learners at our school have special needs or disabilities that make it difficult for them to cope with mainstream education.
- The school offers curriculum and skills that meet the needs of our leaners.
- The school is multi-cultured and multi-racial school that caters for learners with special needs.
- Our personnel are made up of Teachers, Nurse, Social worker and support staff. We also have dedicated maintenance staff, bus drivers which makes us all a great team.
- To ensure our learners receive the best education possible, the school implemented Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement: Technical Occupational; Year 2-4. Meaning we don’t use Grades like in the Main Stream.
- We also, to ensure our learners have a well-rounded education, we not only focus on academic progress, but also aim to meet their sporting, social and cultural needs.
- The school understand type of learners and their special educational needs, and we work hard to better ourselves in ensuring that our learners reach their full potential.
